The Fine Arts League of Coleman Co., Inc., will host its Second Annual
Juried Art Show May 7-11, 2008 at the Franklin Center, SH 206 S,
Coleman, Texas (rodeo grounds) Cash awards.
March 10 - CD entries deadline extended
Mar. 31 - Notify acceptance
Apr. 17 - shipped paintings due
May 5 - hand delivered paintings due 12- 5pm Franklin center
May 7 - Guest Artists' demonstrations 9-3
May 8-9-10 Workshop by Tom Lockhart (Contact Ginger Test

TOM LOCKHART, JUROR
Juror for the 2008 Show will be Colorado artist, Tom Lockhart. The artist
works in pastel, oil and watercolor. He is a signature member of Oil
Painters of America (OPA), Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters and the
Northwest Rendezvous. He has received the Award of Excellence in both
the OPA and the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters. Tom's work has
appeared on the cover of "Southwest Art " Magazine and in the "Art of the
West" and "Arts for the Parks". He is represented by galleries in
Colorado and Maine.
Tom will lead a 2-day workshop May 8-9 (Thurs/Fri) at the Franklin
Center. Media will be watermedia and pastels. No Oils. Fee: $300

“Bodaciously Bold Texas Blue Bunny”, acrylic
painting (left) by SLH(Sherrell Hazlewood) will be the
subject of a crayon coloring contest sponsored in
conjunction with the Fine Arts League of Coleman’s
2nd Annual Juried Art Show. The juried show, to
include the coloring contest, will be held at Bill
Franklin Center, May 7-11, 2008.
This Blue Bunny coloring contest is designed to be
an enjoyable project for young participants,
Kindergarten through 6th Grades. The “paint by the
numbers” entry packets can be picked up at the
Coleman Chamber of Commerce, 218 S.
Commercial Ave. beginning Monday, Feb. 18. THE
ENTRY FEE OF$3.00 MUST BE PAID WHEN
SIGNING FOR YOUR ENTRY PACKET, Instructions
are enclosed in each packet. Entrants should
complete their bunny and return the packet to the
Chamber of Commerce ON OR BEFORE APRIL 17.
Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded at the
Dragonfly Journeys Juried Art Show Awards
Celebration to be held at Bill Franklin Center on
Sunday, May 11, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. All entrants
and their families are encouraged to attend.
